Introduction
FamilyTime Centers provides online therapy services subject to these terms and conditions. By accessing our platform, you agree to comply with our service guidelines and policies in accordance with California state regulations and professional therapy standards.
Acceptance of Terms
By scheduling appointments, creating an account, or using our telehealth services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of our services.
Services Provided
Telehealth Therapy: We provide individual, couples, and family therapy sessions through secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platforms. Our licensed therapists offer evidence-based treatments for various mental health conditions.
Assessment Services: We conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, psychological evaluations, and treatment planning services as clinically appropriate.
Crisis Support: While we provide ongoing therapeutic support, our services are not designed for immediate crisis intervention. Emergency situations require contacting emergency services or crisis hotlines.
Educational Resources: We may provide educational materials, self-help resources, and therapeutic tools to support your treatment goals.
User Responsibilities
Accurate Information: You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and throughout your treatment. False or misleading information may compromise your care and violate these terms.
Technical Requirements: You are responsible for ensuring adequate internet connectivity, compatible devices, and a private, secure location for telehealth sessions.
Confidentiality: You must maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security concerns.
Session Participation: You agree to participate actively and honestly in therapy sessions, complete assigned therapeutic tasks, and communicate openly about your treatment experience.
Appointment Policies
Scheduling: Appointments must be scheduled through our approved booking systems. We reserve the right to confirm appointments and may require advance payment or insurance verification.
Cancellation Policy: Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in full session fees.
Rescheduling: We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule missed appointments based on therapist availability and your scheduling needs.
Tardiness: Sessions begin at scheduled times. Late arrivals will not extend session duration, and significant delays may result in session cancellation with applicable fees.
Payment Terms
Fee Structure: Session fees are established based on service type, duration, and provider qualifications. Current fee schedules are available upon request and may be updated periodically.
Payment Methods: We accept various payment methods including credit cards, debit cards, and electronic bank transfers. Payment is typically due at the time of service unless alternative arrangements are made.
Insurance: When using insurance benefits, you remain responsible for deductibles, copayments, and any services not covered by your plan. We will assist with insurance claims but cannot guarantee coverage or reimbursement.
Outstanding Balances: Unpaid balances may result in suspension of services, collection activities, or termination of the therapeutic relationship in accordance with professional ethics and state regulations.
Technology and Platform Use
Platform Access: We provide access to secure telehealth platforms for conducting therapy sessions. These platforms are third-party services subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Technical Support: While we provide basic technical support, you are responsible for maintaining compatible devices and internet connectivity. Technical difficulties may require rescheduling sessions.
Recording Restrictions: Recording of therapy sessions by clients is prohibited without explicit written consent from your therapist and FamilyTime Centers.
Platform Security: You must use platforms only as directed and refrain from attempting to access unauthorized areas or compromise system security.
Limitations of Liability
Service Limitations: Telehealth services have inherent limitations compared to in-person therapy. We cannot guarantee specific treatment outcomes or timeframes for improvement.
Technical Issues: We are not liable for technical problems, internet outages, or platform failures that may disrupt therapy sessions. Alternative communication methods may be employed when possible.
Emergency Situations: Our services are not appropriate for psychiatric emergencies or crisis situations requiring immediate intervention. We provide clear emergency resources and protocols.
Third-Party Services: We are not responsible for the actions, policies, or service interruptions of third-party technology providers, insurance companies, or other external entities.
Intellectual Property
Therapeutic Materials: Treatment materials, assessments, and therapeutic tools provided during sessions are for your personal use only and may not be reproduced or distributed without permission.
Platform Content: Website content, educational materials, and platform interfaces are protected by copyright and may not be used for commercial purposes.
Client Information: Your personal information and therapy content remain confidential and are not used for any purpose other than providing your treatment.
Termination of Services
Client-Initiated: You may terminate services at any time by providing written notice. Outstanding balances remain due, and we will provide appropriate referrals when clinically indicated.
Provider-Initiated: We may terminate services for non-payment, violation of terms, missed appointments, or when continuation is not clinically appropriate. Appropriate notice and referrals will be provided.
Mutual Agreement: Services may be terminated by mutual agreement when treatment goals are achieved or when alternative services would better meet your needs.
Dispute Resolution
Internal Resolution: We encourage addressing concerns directly with your therapist or our administrative staff. Most issues can be resolved through open communication.
Mediation: Disputes that cannot be resolved internally may be addressed through professional mediation services before pursuing legal remedies.
Governing Law: These terms are governed by California state law, and any legal disputes will be resolved in California courts.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service with appropriate notice to clients. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
